Pocket support
Help with your collection, sync, imports, and recovery.
Your important details, close at hand
Pocket organizes cards, memberships, passports, and other details on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The core app is free. Version 1.0 is being prepared for the App Store.
Get help
Email support@tallyfield.app with your device model, OS version, Pocket version, and a description of the problem. Never send card numbers, identity documents, passwords, access keys, or a private vault export.
Unlocking and recovery
Pocket uses your device’s authentication. There is no separate Pocket password or account. If a restored backup’s local key is missing, choose Check iCloud and review the recovery option. Use the Apple Account you previously used with Pocket, with iCloud and Passwords & Keychain enabled. Recovery preserves the original restored files and recovers only items and attachments that reached iCloud. If recovery pauses, do not delete the app or reset Keychain; retry when the original device has completed its sync.
Older backups may lack the collection identity needed for shared-collection recovery. Keep the original device available and contact the collection owner if a new invitation is needed.
Importing
Import records accepts an extracted 1Password JSON array or Pocket’s documented vehicle JSON format. It does not open a .1pux archive or restore a Pocket encrypted vault file. Review supported records before saving. Existing and previously deleted items are skipped; importing does not overwrite edits. Unsupported and inactive source records are excluded. Images and PDFs must be attached separately. Download a synthetic JSON example to see the accepted structure.
Sharing
A private invitation and a separate access key let someone join your whole collection, including archived items. Joining merges their existing items into that collection. All participants can read, edit, and delete shared items. Favorites and copy activity stay private to each Apple Account. Share only with people you trust. The owner manages invitations and access through the system sharing controls; revocation does not erase copies or keys someone already holds.
Archive, delete, and iCloud
Archive keeps an item. To delete it in version 1.0, open it from Archive, choose Item options, then Delete item. Deletion reaches other devices when they sync; update older Pocket versions first. See the privacy policy for retained backups and recovery files. Deleting the app alone does not delete its iCloud data. You can manage Pocket’s iCloud storage in Apple’s settings; stop using that collection on all devices before removing it there.
